Kalanchoe plant nursery Spectraplant Westerbeek, owned by Emiel van den Oever, a new workspace is realized with a fully automated second cultivation layer of 5,000 m2 above. After potting, the benches are transported to a second layer by an overhead crane, which is suitable for transporting containers with plants. After the initial growing period, the same overhead crane transports the benches back down to a transport line which takes care of the transportation to the greenhouse.

In order to save costs Spectraplant Westerbeek had opted to do a large part of construction with its own staff. This project was supported by Logiqs Agro through supervision and engineering in 3D. Designs, calculations and simulations were facilitated to the customer by a virtual server of Logiqs Agro. This made it possible for the customer to get access to details normally not visible on the drawing.

After finishing the construction, the new work situation was upgraded the old Kasreg software to our latest management and control software, Dat-A-Control V3. As a result our customer now has a full graphical view of the operation and can now move the benches around in the greenhouse by a simple click of a mouse.
