19-08-10 Ubink: Flexible, economic and fully automated tranport with shuttle

At Ubink in Kudelstaart Logiqs Agro has introduced a new way to move benches through the greenhouse. A car drives by bays with benches. This car carries 2 shuttles that can drive into a bay. One shuttle is used to move the benches one by one towards the car at the loading position. The other moves the shuttles to the end of the bay at the unloading position. 3 machines are working together to do all the movements. When the job is finished the car collects the shuttles and uses them for a new job.

Advantages are:

• full automation in the intire greenhouse
• the low cost for automation
• Only a few parts that can break down
• All automation can easily be removed during disinfection or cleaning
• In combination with Dat-A-Control you have a perfect tracking and tracing of the plants
