In Boskoop, Europe’s most important tree nursery centre, the main trees grown at the tree nursery of the brothers Gerrit and Ton Rijkaart are Pieris and Japonica. Most of the cultivation and production is carried out in rolling containers. This makes it possible to respond to customers’ wishes quickly. Together with the Rijkaart brothers and their advisor, Logiqs Agro designed a plan for the logistics system that is aimed at the future. Fully automatic container movements, even in outside areas, are among the possibilities. A buffer of empty containers is also situated in the industrial premises.
